Roman Government
Ancient Rome the city found in 753 by two demi-god brothers, Romulus, and Remus had a very interesting and unique type of government in ancient times. The Roman’s had a government which started on the basis of one brother killing another just to be the head of the city. Romulus killed Remus, just for the city, isn’t that sad that one brother was ready to kill another for just to be the head of a city! Apart from that that is how it was decided that Emperors would head the city. Apart from the fact that Emperors headed the city citizens still had political rights and they still had the right to vote and to work in the government. Citizens were at first only Romans that had property this included women, but the women although they were the citizens, but still had no political rights. Later in the history of Rome’s government came that everyone should be able to be a citizen as long as they weren’t a slave. Although the first two consoles were chosen by force and that only one of them was able to be a leader, after that leader it was decided that in Rome there would be two consoles, and the people choosing these two consoles were the highest social class in Rome who were the patricians, later on everyone except women and slaves had this right. Well one thing that I found especially interesting was that the Romans had some laws that could not be changed and they were known as the twelve tables, and some of the laws in the twelve tables were……
Also when the Romans took over a country or a city they did something unusual which was that the Romans invited the people of the other country or city to become citizens of Rome. The Romans also had something known as an ideal dictator which meant that in an emergency situation such as a war, the consuls and senate could choose anyone to lead the army, at one point a farmer was leading an army and he was successful at defeating Roman enemies. Finally to end this off I think I could easily say that I can see as to how the Romans were so successful and it was because of the laws they lived by and the government they had.
- Females should remain in guardianship even when they have attained their majority.
- A spendthrift is not allowed to use administration over his own goods.
- It is permitted to take fruit from another man's farm if it has fallen.
- If something is sang that is insulting or an insult to another man than they person making or singing the song will be clubbed to death.
- A deformed child is required to be killed immediately.

Ancient Roman Government Compared to Canadian Government
The Ancient Romans had many similarities between the Roman government and the Canadian government. A few of these similarities were similarities of their leaders. One similarity between leaders in Ancient Rome and current Canada is that in both governments there was a leader. Another similarity is that in both cases leaders were elected by the people or the assembly. Also some more similarities of the government of Ancient Rome and Canada were the similarities between the power of the leaders. One similarity between the power of the leaders in Ancient Rome and Canada is that they couldn't just pass a law, they needed the Senate or assembly to approve. Another similarity between the power of the leaders in Ancient Rome and Canada was that the leaders could not do whatever the wanted they had to follow the law as well. Finally coming to the differences, there were some differences between the elected leaders. One difference between the elected leaders of Ancient Rome and Canada is that in Ancient Rome it was required that the Leader had to be high in society, but now in Canada it can be anyone. Also another big difference is that here in Canada you are not the leader for your whole life in Rome you were. Finally overall Canada and Rome both had some differences and also similarities.
Ancient Rome VS Ancient Greece Government
Well if Ancient Rome and Greece are compared than you can mainly say that the main difference between these governments was that their forms of governments were different and the way they were ruled. Examples about this include that the Greece government was a democracy, and in Ancient Rome it was a Monarchy, because they were ruled by Emperors, such as Julius Caesar. Another difference between the governments of Ancient Rome and Greece was that in Rome they had some certain laws in Ancient times, which no matter what could not be broken, they were called the twelve tables, and in Ancient Greece they had nothing of that sort. Although there were some differences in the governments of the Ancient Romans and Greeks they also had a few similarities. One of these similarities were that in both places only citizens were able to vote for laws or for emperors or leaders. Another similarity between these two places and that in their governments was that for someone to become a citizen they had to do military training unless they were invited from another country to be a citizen. Overall to wrap I think I can say that both of these governments were ran on different methods and yet both these civilization still operated very well.
