Ancient Greece Transportation
Getting around in Ancient Greece was quite vast. For the Greeks it was quite hard to get around. This was because of the landscape of Ancient Greece. They had a rugged landscape, mountainous lands, and because of this it was harder to travel, but nonetheless they still had to use transportation to get around and most of this traveling was done on foot. Even the rich had to walk on foot most of the time, this was because of the fact that some of the land was so rugged that the only option was to walk. Although they had to walk the rich would bring along servants, who would pick up their luggage and take it to where the rich wanted. Apart from this there was some land which was actually kind of smooth. On the smooth land, servants still had to walk, but the rich had other modes of transportation. This included many different vehicles. One of these vehicles was, a carriage. These carriages were either pulled by a donkey, mule or horse. In most cases people would purchase a mule or donkey instead of a horse because it was cheaper. Another mode of transportation that was not used regularly, but used rarely was the chariots. Chariots were mostly only used in wars. Chariots were extremely helpful since they were fast and had a lot of space these chariots were used to take injured soldiers away from the battlefield. Although many people traveled by land most still preferred traveling by ship whenever possible. This was because they trip would be more easy and relaxing. Also other than that people also preferred traveling by ship because the Greeks were awesome ship builders and really good at navigation. Finally traveling by ship was most profitable because there were multiple trading campuses near coastlines all around Greece so they could also trade on their way to wherever they were going. Overall don’t you also think it is amazing on how well the Greeks adapted to their landscape when it comes to transportation?

Ancient Greece Transportation Compared to Rome's
One of the main differences between the Greeks and Romans transportation was that in Greece it was harder to get around because of the mountainous terrain and because they didn’t have good roads, but in Rome that was not the case in Rome, because in Ancient Rome they had very advanced roads at the time and also they had many roads that were connected so they could go all around their city and country. Another large difference between the transportation in Ancient Greece and Rome was that the Romans had certain markings around their cities to help people get from one place to another which the Greeks did not have and that was that on the roads of Ancient Rome was that there were markings near the roads, saying how far away another city is etc, that is something that the Greeks did not have when it came to transportation. Although there are lots of differences when it comes to the transportation in Ancient Greece and Rome a similarity is that in both Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome they used horses as a mode of transportation. Another similarity is that both the Greeks and Romans used chariots both on public roads and also as an assistant in warfare. Overall both the Greeks and Romans had quite advanced modes of transportation at the time, but because of facts and more I would say that the Romans had more advanced transportation methods and more, such as roads.
